Random Ramblings

Suffering with a stinking head cold so a bit sub....
This little troutie swallowed the hook and we ate her, bbq-ed...and very delish she was, too. A couple of weeks ago, I have to confess...
Got some excellent students this week...18 year olds, interested in politics and the Arts...
BG on hols so being suitably teenagey and lying in..he does feed les animaux, though, so no complaints.
Painting course next week..Hurrah!
You MUST read 'God's Own Country' , Ross Raisin. A tour de force.

  1. A few weeks ago I had the great pleasure of catching some mackerel from the back patio of the house we rented in Dartmouth.

They were smoked by our next door neighbour and I then made them into mackerel pate, which tasted wonderful.

I haven't been fishing for a long time. I'd forgotten how good it feels to eat something you've caught with your own hands.

    The primeval instinct lives on...
