Saffron is SO well that I feel she needs to be hunting ( which is, after all, what she has done for the last 12 seasons). Plus we are pretty much out of grass and she starts behaving like Houdini. She is a very good hunter...safe and sensible. She won't jump a hedge now but she'll pop a rail....especially if the last few days are anything to go by.
It has been ridiculously warm and the peacock has decided that it is Spring. Mrs P is, quite sensibly, a good deal more sceptical and a LOT less romantic. She spends a goodly part of the day wilfully ignoring his frantic wooings.

Those randy, Springy, tingy things is just like the situation between me and my fav barmaid methinks! She is wilful when it suits. As for the hunter - pity you are not closer to Kent as my daughter would soon take up the offer for one of her many riding friends. Toodle pip.
ReplyDeleteOh I would love to help you out there, Foxy. Sadly I am broke and doubt I could take the risk. But I'm sure there will be plenty of willing people only too happy for the loan of such a tempting prospect. Best luck.
