NOTW? Why wd anyone be surprised???

We shd all be much more bothered by the fact that a)NOTW was Britain's biggest selling newspaper...what does that say about us as a nation....and b) the police....
How Rebekah Brooks survives is a mystery...but it's an even bigger mystery how Blair has escaped justice and continues to make gazillions from being a lying, politically opportunistic war criminal.

  1. Just listening to Dave's statement.
He does it well. At least as good as Tony. Maybe better. He does apology better.

Note how Cameron is very clear to spell out that any inquiry needs to be a proper investigation, by independent people, without narrow terms of reference.

That's a lesson learned. New Labour's pretending to hold investigations never killed the story. Only delayed it. And it came back to bite Brown when he least wanted it to.

  2. I'm glad to see the BSkyB share price down today, albeit not by enough. The market would appear to think that it's a little less likely now that the News International bid will go through. Surely there should be no way that these people pass a Fit and Proper Owner test?

The NOTW closure changes nothing. It just reinforces how brutal they are.

But of course, am I sitting at home waiting for Sky to put my dish up? Sure am. What a hypocrite!
